MEET DAVID

David Overhuls is a lifelong resident of Harris County, Texas, and a dedicated public servant with deep roots in the community. Raised in the Humble area, David attended local elementary, middle, and high schools, and now lives and raises his own family in the same area he has always called home.

David began his legal career as a Harris County prosecutor, and handled thousands of criminal cases, from DWI to murder. During that time, David was also responsible for investigating and prosecuting some of the largest and most dangerous drug traffickers in the country. Today, David runs his own successful law practice, continuing to fight for justice and uphold the rule of law.

He earned his undergraduate degree from Baylor University and graduated with honors from Georgetown University Law Center. With extensive courtroom experience and a strong foundation in both prosecution and defense, David understands the importance of fair, balanced, and impartial decision-making from the bench.

Beyond the courtroom, David is an active member of the community. He and his wife Chelsea are devoted parents to their two children, Avery and Owen. The Overhuls family are members of Second Baptist Church, where David and Chelsea volunteer in the children’s ministry.

David Overhuls is running for Judge of the 248th District Court to bring integrity, experience, and fairness to the courtroom. He believes that every person deserves to be treated with respect and that justice should be administered with both strength and compassion.
